Nominations Process

We divide our nominations list by three industries: Music, Media, and Community. Between each industry there are 22 nomination categories to choose from. There are two polls that happen during this process: The induction poll, and the actual nominations poll. By the end of the nominations polls,  we have discovered our TOP3 nominees per each category.

To congratulate each of the Nominees, we host a BIG Reveal party which reveals to the public who the TOP3 Nominations are that made it to this final poll. Each Nominee is recognized, and placed in a final poll, where supported vote for THE Most Deserving out of the TOP3 Nominees. During the Awards Celebration, one winner per each category is  celebrated for their achievements. 

The Awards Show celebration is held annually on Juneteenth. This is a red-carpet, black-tie event for the TOP3 Nominees, Honorees, Sponsors, Partners, and additional guest. To include: a red-carpet pre-show, catered dinner, live band performances and entertainment by Indie Artists. This event is featured on television, newspaper, radio, local podcast, and digital TV & Radio as well.
